April 18 and 19th – 2008 NCRAL Convention
The Northern Cross Science Foundation is pleased to be hosting the 2008 NCRAL Convention! The event will take place on April 18-19, 2008 at the Lakeview Conference Center in Port Washington, WI.
We have an incredible two days of astronomy planned! Friday night, we will conduct tours and observing at the new Jim & Gwen Plunkett Observatory featuring the Panarusky Telescope.
On Saturday, our fantastic lineup of speakers include Dave Oesper (founder of Outdoor Lighting Associates), Harald Schenk (UW-Sheboygan), Michael Bakich and David Eicher (Astronomy Magazine). TV’s Jack Horkheimer — the Stargazer himself — will be the Saturday night Banquet Speaker. In addition, we will have astronomy equipment vendors on-site, door prizes, and contests throughout the convention.
