Astroleague Convention Planning Checklist Mini-Checklist: Convention Committee.

There are many jobs that will need to be done. Here is a list of topics that need to be assigned to someone, both in preparation and at the convention itself. Some of these things will need more than one person, and certainly, one person can organize more than one of these things, especially since there is a lot of overlap between some categories (i.e., secretary and registrar; tours and transportation; program and A/V). Committee members must keep in close contact with each other to remain well-organized. Monthly committee meetings are advised early-on, becoming more frequent as the date of the convention approaches. Remember. . . you can never start too soon, and the more time you have to prepare, the easier your planning will be. Hopefully, you will get a lot of eager volunteers, and do not forget spouses!
