The Charlottesville Astronomical Society will hold an Astronomy Day event at the Ivy Creek Foundation in CHarlottesville http://ivycreekfoundation.org/  The event will begin at noon with white light and Ha solar observing,  From 1:00 – 3:00 pm there will be a telescoope build for kids and parents.  Families will have the opportunity to build a 4″ dobsonian telescope and learn how it works and what it can be used to view in the night sky.  The cost for the scope kit is $50.00.  To register, please contact Steve Layman at slayman2528 at comcast.net.  In the evening club members will have telescopes available for public viewing of the night sky until 10:00 pm
