Astronomy Summer Series
Discover the night sky from Assateague Island! The event will begin with auditorium presentations followed by stargazing with telescopes.

Astronomy 101 Presentation
7:30, 8:00 and 8:30 p.m.
Herbert H. Bateman Educational Center Auditorium (limited space available; first come, first serve; rain or shine)
Night Sky Observations through telescopes (subject to cancelation due to inclement weather; refuge closes at 10 p.m.)
8:30 – 9:45 p.m.
North End of Parking Lot #1

Optional items to bring: binoculars, a red light, and insect repellant
There series is a collaboration between Assateague Island National Seashore, Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge, Delmarva Space Sciences Foundation and the NASA Wallops Flight Facility Visitor Center.
