Please join the Popular Astronomy Club at the Moline Public Library for an afternoon of Astronomy. Star Lab indoor planetarium shows, Moon Rocks collected during Apollo missions, displays and demonstrations will be offered. Special guest, Dr. Paul Sipiera, Planetary Studies Foundation, Earth and Space Science Museum, Elizabeth, Illinois, will present a program “Asteroids and Meteorites: Their Impact on Earth” at 3:00 pm and will bring some of his extensive collection of meteorites to display. Crafts, door prizes, and refreshments available. Outside we will have safe solar observing (weather permitting). Please join us for this family friendly Celebration of Astronomy!
